Hello Everyone,

I am a golfer myself and I like to play whenever I get a chance.
A short while ago, a very good friend of mine told me about a great golfing equipment and accessories website that has discounted prices on all their products, same day shipping in most cases and there is no state sales tax, they are paying that.
So if any golfer here is ready to save some money on quality products at highly discounted prices, you might want to check out their site at; http://hoffmangolf.com

Blogs, you might want to research about Glycemic Index. Recent studies have found that it's not high or low carb that's the problem. It's actually the Glycemic Index. A study was performed on four groups of 10 or 20 people each.

Group 1 had a high carb, high GI diet;
Group 2 had a high carb, low GI diet;
Group 3 had a high protein, high GI diet; and
Group 4 had a high protein, low GI diet.

This was done over a period of 2~4 weeks. The study found that those in Groups 2 and 4 (both low GI) lost more weight and were healthier at the end of the study. However, the study also noted that a high carb, low GI diet was much better than high protein, low GI diet because the former was easier on the heart. I don't have any link, but Mr. Google might know. I saw this on a show here in Australia called "What's Good for You"

So this basically means that pasta is better than rice. Not so much because of its ingredient, but the (molecular?) structure of pasta. Its unique structure gives it a low GI. Also, potato is high GI, so avoid french fries like death! Also, jasmine rice is high GI so avoid that. Perhaps some varieties of rice in Davao also. Basmati rice, however, is low GI so it's good for you.

You might be wondering why I'm so into this. I'm trying to lose weight as well. I was 68~69kg when I arrived here in Oz and that's already overweight for my height (don't ask). Since then I've lost 10kg. I'm aiming for those washboard abs as well. I want to surprise my wife when I come home!
