It’s been said that, when setting a goal, make it achievable but higher than can be easily reached. Hence the name of my blog, which is my ultimate physical goal as well.

I’m a 30-something average guy, not really out of shape, but not exactly in shape either. I’m no gym buff or diet freak, but I intend to become healthy and fit as I can possibly be. This is the journal of my efforts towards reaching my goal. This blog will be updated at least once or twice a week, and will document my plans and actual activities, all in the hopes of seeing myself with six-pack washboard abs again!

I could’ve called this blog "Mission: Boracay", but my aims go beyond the physical, beyond a mere desire for external appearances. I believe that physical fitness is not achieved for its own sake: it is a continuing expression of one’s character, discipline and general outlook in life.

(Don’t get me wrong — I have a long way to go… which makes it an even more interesting trip, yes?)
